Martial Arts to Learn

Okay, so you wanna join a MMA organization and fight, right? But first, you need to learn martial arts. There are many martial arts around the world. To name a few, Boxing, Savate, Judo, Muay Thai, Wrestling, etc. etc. But you can't possibly have that much time to learn all these! So you have to select maybe 2-3 to learn. Or if you're lucky and there's a MMA class in your area, TAKE THE CHANCE AND JOIN! But, for the people who aren't so lucky, don't worry, i'll guide you through selecting good martial arts.

I'll recommend you to take Muay Thai, Judo, and BJJ. Why? I'll explain. Muay Thai is a striking art that use eight limbs. (Most other arts use only 4) It uses the fists, elbows, knees, and shins. This will help you deal with the stand-up during fights. Next is BJJ. It focuses a lot on submissions and groundwork which is great, but how can you submit someone if you can't get them down? This is where Judo comes in =D Judo is a throwing art. It'll allow you to throw people down so you can submit or just Ground and Pound away. This would be my combination of martial arts to take. What's yours? Comments are appreciated.

Personally, I have been working on BJJ and Sambo atm, I also train in Muay Thai but my latest focus have been the other two. Sambo and BJJ are very similar, and with the combined knowledge of both I think it would be for deadly ground game.
